How fascinating that we are so different and unique, and yet also how we all share basic emotional, psychological, social, spiritual and physical needs.
The intention here is to share, to increase your self-care care factor, and to inspire you to tune in, listen, understand how you feel and give yourself what you need.
Podcast: feeling the change
A series of conversations about self-care during the climate crisis. They are timeless and speak to the diverse range of experiences people have. The intention is to share lived experiences that highlight the emotional side of engaging with climate change, normalise our eco-distress, as well as share ways of coping with meaning and resilience.

The art of self-care involves getting to know yourself, making yourself familiar with what your needs may be at any particular moment. This requires ongoing commitment and fostering a caring relationship with your precious and unique body, mind, spirit and relationships.
The first hurdle to self care is tackling some core shared ideas that keep us stuck. They sound something like this: I have no time…I’m not worthy enough, other people need me more than I need me…it doesn’t make me feel any better so what’s the point?
So this is where we begin. Join us on instagram or check out the clips below for skills addressing the top three reasons people don't give themselves the care they need. In the YouTube videos Bronwyn introduces skills to work through the three most common challenges we face around self-care: the Time factor (lack of time in our busy days), the Guilt factor (that we feel unproductive, selfish, or indulgent), the Needs factor (that what we do needs to feel nourishing and supportive).
Remember this
We need each other’s Compassionate Nature. This essential life force within all of us needs nourishing attention and proactive engagement to fully flourish and reach collective potential.
You can begin anytime and anywhere with self-care practises. These do not need to consume time, or compete with our daily demands. Let go of self-care being another chore or pressure, something we feel we ‘should’ be doing. Instead, weave ways of care and wellbeing into each moment, even now you can soften, be just a little more at ease, notice a need, and follow your heart.
“The world does not require us to become martyrs to save the planet or ourselves. ‘’Savour not saviour’’ is an effective mantra for balanced engagement with ecological issues. Finding a joyful way of being in our lives and world not only helps to keep connected with the challenges of our times, it is also a part of the solution. ”
